About the role
- Prepares capital budgets for the department.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of staff
- Reviews and approves staff timesheets and leave requests
Responsibilities
- Manages the activities of the ERCOT Demand Response group to develop and achieve departmental goals in support of corporate goals
- Manages the development and implementation of new demand response, AMR and other distribution connected initiatives
- Ensures that ERCOT provides support to the continued evolution and success of the existing markets
- Works to resolve complex problems related to the design and implementation of the new Nodal Market
- Leads investigations and coordinates analysis to aid in the resolution of issues related to the new Nodal Market
- Develops and maintains strong expertise in ERCOT procedures and business rules related to demand response activities

Nice to have
- 8+ years of job-related work experience in excess of degree requirements.
- Electric utility operations and industry experience required.
- Market deregulation experience preferred.
- Experience in leadership/management preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred

Compensation
- $159,000 - $218,000
Visa & Work Authorization
- Employees may opt to work on-site more than required or 100% of the time
