About the role
- Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods - and eventually people - move around the planet.
- Employees working from our headquarters in Mountain View, CA may expect very little travel.
- Employees working from Seattle, WA or remotely can expect 20% travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation of the navigation system
- Implement state estimation algorithms in flight software
- 8+ years of professional experience developing and testing navigation algorithms
- Experience developing software for safety critical applications
- An offer of employment will be contingent upon the applicant's capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws.
Requirements
- Experience with navigation system certification
- MS in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree
Nice to have
- Professional experience with developing C/C++ flight software and Python data reduction & analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PhD in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar advanced degree
