About the role

  • Investigates and resolves work-in-process problems.
  • Monitors assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
  • Investigates problems and recommends solutions Responsiblities Would Include:

Responsibilities

  • We proudly support the U.S. aerospace and defense sectors by supplying strategic resources critical to national security and advanced manufacturing.
  • Maintain product/process specification and procedures, coordinate part number listings and maintain bills of materials and routes.
  • Maintain FPY and material efficiency metrics.
  • Maintain effective cost reduction programs via process/product modifications and development.
  • Collaborate with and mentor operators, technicians and other personnel to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • Attain in-depth knowledge of processes, equipment and products.
  • Review and modify process specifications as required.
  • Direct and utilize technical resources such as technicians and interns/Co-ops to accomplish required tasks.

Nice to have

  • 4-year engineering degree (Material Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering required).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma/Statistics and LEAN a plus.
  • Experience with Minitab, SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, a plus.
  • Familiarity or interest in powder metallurgy, powder processing, and database creation, is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing/production area a plus.
  • Should demonstrate the ability to logically approach and solve problems.
  • Fluency in speaking and writing in English.
