About the role
- We're looking for a Senior Business Insights Analyst to help Philo make better, faster decisions through rigorous analysis, trusted metrics, and strong cross-functional partnership.
- This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who is equally comfortable owning recurring KPI reporting, diving into ambiguous ad-hoc questions, and presenting clear, decision-ready recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- You will help Philo understand the health of its subscriber base and revenue streams in a way that connects clearly to action.
Responsibilities
- Build deep expertise in Philo's billing and subscription ecosystem, including trials, conversion, renewals, churn, reactivation, plan migration, add-on attach, refunds, credits, failed payments, involuntary churn, and direct vs. partner billing flows.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science on customer journey analysis, feature adoption, experimentation readouts, and insight generation across the viewing and account experience.
- Partner with Content, Programming, and Marketing to understand which channels, titles, and viewing patterns drive acquisition, engagement, retention, upsell, and free-to-paid conversion opportunities.
- Support customer-facing and operational teams with insights into support contact drivers, account issues, billing friction, and subscriber pain points where analytical clarity can improve the customer experience.
- Build executive-ready materials that connect numbers to narrative, synthesize tradeoffs, and help technical and non-technical stakeholders make decisions with confidence.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in business insights, analytics, strategy analytics, finance analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related function.
- Experience with billing, payments, dunning or retry flows, refunds and credits, and direct or partner-billing analytics.
- Experience with content, engagement, lifecycle marketing, or free-to-paid funnel analytics in a consumer product environment.

- Includes annual salary, company stock options, and health benefits. Salary is determined by experience and location:
- San Francisco, New York City: $145K - $170K
- Boston, DC Metro, Los Angeles, Seattle: $135K - $160K
- Denver, Atlanta, Austin, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Chicago: $130K - $155K
- Texas, Florida: $120K - $145K
