About the role
- The role also includes employer engagement, workforce development, reporting, data tracking, and program monitoring.
- Oversee participant service delivery, case management, follow-up, retention activities, and provide guidance on complex client situations.
- Ensure achievement of recruitment, training, placement, retention, and employment outcome targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day coordination, implementation, and delivery of the manufacturing employment and training program.
- Supervise, coach, and support staff, including performance management, workload coordination, and professional development.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and community partners to support participant employment opportunities and program success.
- Provide regular operational updates, performance reports, and recommendations to the Employment Manager to support continuous program improvement.

- We currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a full time Employment Lead, Manufacturing Program on our Employment team.
- The Employment Lead manages the delivery of the manufacturing employment and training program.
- This role provides program oversight, supports participant service delivery, and ensures high-quality employment and training outcomes.
- The role oversees staff assignments, supports performance and development, and ensures program targets and compliance requirements are met.
- They build partnerships with employers, training providers, and community organizations to support service delivery and create employment opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in employment services or settlement programs required.
- Experience working with newcomers, including immigrants, refugees, and GARs.
- Knowledge of labour market trends and employment resources.
- Proficiency in MS Office and case management/data tracking systems.
Nice to have
- Primarily working at a desk in a stationary position, using computer and related peripherals.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is strongly preferred.
- Work involves supporting clients with complex needs, including those with language barriers, trauma experiences, and employment challenges.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, deadlines, and performance targets.
- Combination of office-based work and community/outreach activities.
- Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Compensation
- $60,000 per year
