About the role
- This role focuses on market strategy, growth diagnostics, and commercial risk, providing investors and corporate clients with the insight needed to underwrite and defend transaction decisions.
- The base salary range for this position is: $230,000 to $330,000 and is subject to change based on salary benchmarking.
Responsibilities
- Lead Commercial Due Diligence engagements end-to-end, covering market attractiveness, competitive positioning, customer economics, and growth strategy.
- Partner with Alpha's Technology DD, Operations DD, and Strategy teams to provide integrated perspectives on value creation and risk.
- Build and maintain senior client relationships, engaging with PE deal teams, portfolio company management teams, and bankers to inform transaction decisions and support value creation.
- Take a lead role in shaping client communications, engagement direction, and IC-ready deliverables.
- Manage and mentor engagement teams, ensuring delivery excellence, fostering analytical rigor, and guiding junior colleagues through complex CDD workstreams.
- Commercial Due Diligence Engagement Lead / Engagement Director
- Comprehensive training and development programs, including support for professional qualifications such as the CFA and IMC.
Requirements
- 7+ years of direct, relevant experience in Commercial Due Diligence, growth strategy, and M&A strategic advisory at a senior level (see Tenure Guidance above).
- Strong track record leading or materially contributing to buy-side and sell-side CDD engagements within M&A or private equity transactions.
- Proven ability to translate commercial findings into investment-grade insights and recommendations.
- Experience managing teams and mentoring high-performing consultants.
- Ability to work on projects for clients across North America and Europe.
Nice to have
- MBA preferred (or equivalent advanced degree/experience).

Compensation
- $230,000 to $330,000 and is subject to change based on salary benchmarking.
