About the role
- As a Business Analyst, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating the intricate workflows of institutional loan markets into innovative, scalable software products.
- This position is ideal for a structured, detail-obsessed builder who excels at transforming ambiguous financial processes into highly executable development plans.
- This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite in New York City and is not eligible for fully remote work.
Responsibilities
- Specification Ownership: Author comprehensive functional design documents tailored to support both engineering execution (development and testing) and long-term, reusable product documentation.
- Quality Assurance & UAT Leadership: Establish robust testing frameworks, translate product use cases into formal test plans, execute comprehensive feature and integration-level testing, and manage defect triage directly with engineering to ensure product readiness for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Interface Collaboration: Partner with product design teams to develop wireframes and mockups, ensuring engineering teams have exact visual and behavioral guidance for user interfaces.
- Client Engagement & Support: Participate in institutional client workshops and support calls, effectively communicating in the client's domain language, triaging incoming support requests, and translating field feedback into product iterations.
- AI Literacy: Demonstrated fluency leveraging AI tools to optimize documentation and testing workflows, combined with the editorial judgment necessary to refine and validate AI-generated content.
- Client-Facing Capability: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate confidently with sophisticated financial services clients.
- Author comprehensive functional design documents tailored to support both engineering execution (development and testing) and long-term, reusable product documentation.
- Partner with product design teams to develop wireframes and mockups, ensuring engineering teams have exact visual and behavioral guidance for user interfaces.
- Participate in institutional client workshops and support calls, effectively communicating in the client's domain language, triaging incoming support requests, and translating field feedback into product iterations.
- The organization is rebuilding the core infrastructure that underpins the global financial system by merging traditional institutional finance expertise with advanced blockchain technology to create a faster, safer, and fully on-chain ecosystem.
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in requirements elicitation, validation, gap analysis, requirements traceability, functional specification writing, and UAT planning/defect triage.
- Hiring Manager Interview 60-minute interview covering candidate background, experience, and relevant expertise.

- Technical Skill Set: Proven proficiency in requirements elicitation, validation, gap analysis, requirements traceability, functional specification writing, and UAT planning/defect triage.
- Exposure to institutional loan markets, private credit, broadly syndicated loans, credit operations, loan administration, settlement, or closing processes is advantageous but not strictly required.
Nice to have
- Preferred Tools: Experience with modern productivity and product management tools such as Linear, Notion, Figma, Slack, GSuite, PowerPoint, and process-mapping software (Miro/Lucidchart/Visio).
Skills
- Experience with traditional enterprise suites (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft) is also highly valued.

- $150k-$175k
