About the role

  • Position is also responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the physical security systems and general appearance of the facility, along with providing escorted access to vendors and carriers.
  • As a member of the team, you will be working at our office in Rochester, New York, monitoring and maintaining the equipment in our data centers.
  • Monitor the Lenel Alarm system for all locations and respond to unusual alarms as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use the following equipment: ladder, floor tile puller, cable testing equipment, cable snips, basic hand tools, hand truck, pallet jack.
  • Make changes to Lenel access types at the system admin level as required.

Skills

  • Should be familiar with cable color coding(tip/ring) and, at a minimum, 568A/B pinout.
  • Strong communication skills(oral and written)
  • Good documentation skills required.
  • Must be computer proficient using Microsoft Office software and other software products in use at Centrilogic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Ability to analyze and identify issues negatively impacting facility operations.
  • Desire to grow and learn new technologies.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good decision-making abilities are a must
  • Flexibility to support24 / 7 operations.
