About the role
- This position operates as an Electronics Mechanic located at the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, within the Engineering Department.
- Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.

Responsibilities
- He/she may be permanently located in Biloxi, MS or Pensacola, FL but may perform work at any of our outlying outpatient clinics.
- The purpose of the position is to install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, test, calibrate, adjust, overhaul and repair a wide variety of highly complex integral electronic and electromechanical equipment.
- Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Requirements
- They are sometimes required to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 pounds with the help of weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
- Climbing and working in high places may be required.
- A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position.
