About the role
- As a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of HVAC-R equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Your expertise will be essential in laying out, constructing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems to ensure optimal performance in our plant facilities.
- Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, diagnosing malfunctions, and implementing effective solutions to enhance system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, construct, install, maintain, and repair HVAC-R equipment, including associated controls and components.
- Install and adjust valve controls, perform electrical wiring, and set up electronic controls for HVAC-R systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
- Monitor system operations using the Energy Management Control System (EMCS) and perform visual inspections for defects.
- Diagnose malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or electronic systems and develop corrective action plans.
- Maintain and program moisture control, airflow, and thermal balance to ensure indoor air quality.
- Install, maintain, and leak test refrigeration systems, adhering to safety practices and refrigerant handling protocols.
- Perform precision alignment of equipment using tools such as lasers and dial indicators.
- Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Commercial/Industrial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) field performing trouble shooting, maintaining & repairing equipment.
- Ability to complete Fall Protection Training.
- Ability to physically able to lift 35 or more pounds during a shift.
Nice to have
- Experience working with basic freezer operations systems.
- Familiarity with the operation chill water and/or glycol chiller systems.
