About the role

  • Provides quality phone service by scheduling patients or referring caller to appropriate party.
  • Answers phone messages from patients promptly.
  • The MA takes a pro-active approach utilizing available resources to best serve the patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains clean, neat and well-stocked exam rooms.
  • Maintains patient information that is accurate and charts/paperwork are filed correctly.
  • Performs a variety of clerical support duties including receptionist, telephone, scheduling, message management and data input.
  • The MA works in a team model to improve the patient's experience, create better communication and access to care, and support processes that will improve patient satisfaction.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Other / Certificate Completion of a MA training program Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
  • Certification Required

Compensation

  • $16k-$401k

  • 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
  • R4-16-401 and R4-16-101) OR completes a United States Armed Forces medical services training program Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Certification Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, CCMA, RMA) Preferred
  • The Medical Assistant provides general front and back office support to professional staff.
  • Must have knowledge of medical front and back office procedures.
