About the role

  • Environmental Science Associates (ESA) is a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting firm.
  • This role can be based out of Tampa, Orlando and/or Boynton Beach, FL.
  • ESA is looking for a dynamic individual who combines strong technical insight with leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to cultivate lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize how natural gas, transmission, and renewable resources work together to support grid reliability.
  • Excel at developing project strategies and contributing to ESA's business development goals.
  • Are proficient with project management tools and can develop integrated, logic‑linked schedules across environmental, engineering, ROW, and construction workflows.
  • Anticipate challenges and develop creative solutions across environmental, regulatory, engineering, and stakeholder inputs.
  • Maintain long‑term, trusted relationships with clients, public agencies, utilities, pipeline operators, and renewable energy developers.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well with technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Lead or support proposal development, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and contract negotiations
  • Manage the full lifecycle of multi‑sector energy infrastructure projects
  • Develop integrated schedules aligned with environmental studies, engineering, ROW, permitting, procurement, and construction
  • Identify critical‑path issues and implement mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • You are a forward‑thinking Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment and brings experience leading complex energy‑infrastructure projects.
  • You have experience across several domains, including:
  • Knowledge of ISO/RTO planning frameworks, resource adequacy, and interconnection requirements
  • Have 10+ years of experience managing the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure projects-from proposal development and feasibility studies through permitting, construction support, and closeout.
