About the role

  • The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, comfortable with managing campaigns and collaborating across teams in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and develop leaders and teams deeply rooted in their church and community
  • Develop, train, and support leader led teams in congregations and institutions
  • Identify and develop organizing champions who are leading, building a following, and wielding redemptive power in the public arena
  • Lead and support regular trainings both collectively and inside institutions on the fundamentals of organizing
  • Guide and support strategic justice campaigns
  • Launch and execute justice campaigns in ways that develop leaders, grow the redemptive power of the organization, and advance the identified justice campaign
  • Support growing Organizing Movement through UNDIVIDED
  • Work with team members and other local network leads to grow as a leader and organizer
  • Reflect on and develop strategies to overcome internal and external barriers to stronger individual and collective leadership
  • Employees regularly use standard equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing tools to collaborate with teams and leadership.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in community organizing, movement-building, campaign strategy, leadership development, or related work.
  • Strong understanding of grassroots organizing, relational organizing, power-building, and campaign strategy.
  • Experience navigating fast-paced, evolving, and high-pressure environments with steadiness and strategic thinking.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing or coordinating distributed organizing networks or grassroots teams.
  • Experience in faith-based organizing or faith-rooted justice work.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in coalition environments and cross-organizational partnerships.

  • Some evening or weekend availability may be needed.

Compensation

  • Attendance at two annual staff retreats is required, along with occasional in-person participation at meetings or events.
