Responsibilities
- Develop procedures to control the effective utilization of electrical, instrument & Programable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
- Install and maintain electrical, instrument and PLC systems including up to Motor Control Center (MCC) units.
- Provide technical support for all users.
- Provide after hour "On-call" support for plant on emergency basis.
- Participate in new & existing process development support and Safety Hazard Reviews
- Drives failure analysis of instrument & electrical equipment and implements reliability improvement action items.
- Develops instrument maintenance and reliability skills throughout the maintenance organization.
- Implements Best Practices for maintenance of control and distribution equipment.
- Drives the maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with reliability requirements.
- Locates and corrects problems (troubleshoots) to restore equipment to operation and design specifications.
Requirements

- Must be able to work both day AND night shift.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work over regular hours.
- and a minimum of three years of experience in the area
- Associate degree (AD) in Electronics, Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent form two-year college or technical school
- Performs breakdown repairs whenever required
Skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Basic knowledge of oral/written skills in English and Spanish.
- Interacts with Area management, Resources, Operations Technicians, Contractors, Engineers and Suppliers.
- Ability to apply concepts such as factions, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to represent data in graphic arts.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.
- In addition to the skills listed above, computer skills and well as a PLC and DCS knowledge are desirable.
- Able to work in teams and to continuously improve day to day activities.

Compensation
- Compensation: $35/hr plus differential for night hours
