Responsibilities
- Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
- Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
- Create part specification requirements and BOM.
- This role will support Wiring Harness engineering design and development activities for a largescale Automotive OEM
- We partner with OEMs and suppliers across the mobility space, as well as clients in non-mobility industries, to deliver innovative solutions and accelerate product development.

Requirements
- Travel to client sites required.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years of Automotive industry experience in design and development of electrical wiring harnesses and associated components for commodities such as but not limited to Door/Instrument panel/Engine room/roof/floor harnesses
- Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
- Experience in design and development of sheetmetal brackets, and good stamping DFM understanding

Nice to have
- Experience in wiring harness routing, wire sizing, bundle diameter calculation, mounting hardware selection
- 3+ years of Experience using CATIA V6/3D Experience for 3D modeling and drafting (CATIA V5 experience will be considered)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS office
