About the role
- This position's primary role is to provide academic advising to an assigned caseload of students.
- Serve as the primary intervention contact at the college for Early Alerts.
- Meet with students who are returning from academic suspension or dismissal, on probation, and others to discuss methods of increasing the likelihood of their success.
Responsibilities
- Teach two sections of a First Year Seminar course per academic year and/or collaborate, design and implement curricula and strategies as they relate to a First Year Seminar Course.
- Serve as the primary intervention contact at the college for Early Alerts. Provide support and follow through with faculty, students, and staff to identify and execute needed Early Alert interventions.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of the advising information in college website and other media
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other office technology.

Nice to have
- experience with EAB SSC Campus
- Working knowledge of computerized registration and degree audit systems
- Experience interpreting and administering academic policies.
