About the role
- Join EMPLOYER as an application cybersecurity engineer and play a critical role in securing the applications and infrastructure that power data-driven decisions around the world.
- You'll use a modern tech stack and work with cloud-native infrastructure, containers, automation tools and CI/CD security integrations.
- We also offer an estimated annual salary range of $155,000-$145,000 for this role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software architects and developers to implement secure design principles and to conduct architecture/code reviews
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on applications and APIs
- Build and deploy automation for vulnerability scanning, compliance and monitoring tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity or a related field OR equivalent experience and a recognized certification (e.g., OSCP, GIAC, CEH) required
- At least two years of professional experience in application security or secure software engineering required
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Java or.NET) and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) required
- Demonstrated experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning or secure code review required
Nice to have
- Hands-on knowledge of DevSecOps, automation and cloud security best practices preferred
