Responsibilities
- Product design, evaluation, testing, performance and documentation of products
- Work closely with Product Design team, Operations, Product Marketing, Industrial Design and ODM partners to design new products or customization of existing products
- Manage outside consultants and fabrication vendors
Requirements
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals required
- Experience including complex surfacing.
- Experience should be recent, within last 5 years at least.
- Experience designing camera or camera related products
- Experience designing outdoor, weatherproof enclosures
- Experience with progressive-die sheet metal part design
- Extensive design experience with high-volume of over 1 million/yr., low-cost products
- Proven ability and willingness to take ownership of project
- ability to get the job done with minimal supervision
- Experience in successfully leading projects through to pilot, mass production and beyond
