About the role

  • This includes and not limited to producing concept presentations, lighting layouts, lighting calculations, fixture specifications, mock-ups, and contract administration work (i.e. shop drawings reviews, site visits and fixture aiming).
  • General Management Regular project status communication internally with ALULA project manager / senior designer.
  • Participate in the occasional on-site (in town or out of town) lighting surveys, meetings, mock-up sessions, or final fixture aiming/focusing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project organization and communications such as meeting minutes and managing project data, on projects in various stages of design and construction.
  • Compiling lighting design documentations, including presentations using InDesign with graphics and text, lighting layout drawings utilizing CAD or Revit, and lighting specifications (luminaire schedules, cutsheets).
  • Performing lighting calculations using AGI32 to verify lighting design and targets, lighting power density and budget calculations.
  • This applies to ALULA direct projects as well as internal lighting support for HIDI's electrical base building / tenancy department's projects.
  • 2 to 4 years of Lighting Design (or associated Lighting - related industry) experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Lighting Design or associated field (Architectural Engineering, Theatrical Lighting, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Design)
