About the role
- Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CCS-P certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire
- As the Out patient Coder I, you will translate health care services and procedures into standardized codes on out patient accounts.
Responsibilities
- You will work with Epic work quests to maintain timeliness of coding, billing, and accounts receivable.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience with Epic, 3M 360 and other HIM coding applications
- Knowledge of entire hospital billing revenue cycle process
- 2 years of out patient coding experience
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in HIT/HIM OR High school diploma AND Certificate of Completion of AHIMA Coding Basics Program and Coding Assessment and Training Solutions Program
- Must be able to pass internal coding test
Compensation
- Salary Range - $41,200 - $61,360
