About the role

  • Acts as a liaison between patient and provider.
  • Utilize EMR system for all scheduling, tracking, and notes documentation and obtain a SME (subject matter expert) status.
  • Verifies patient eligibility and coverage for procedure; discusses potential financial obligations with patient.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates efficient workflow, supports appropriate use of technology, highly supportive of all staff roles as needed, and fosters effective communication.
  • Provides support to provider and colleagues as needed.
  • Obtains precertification or proper insurance approval prior to surgical procedures and appropriately documents the information.

Requirements

  • Previous surgery scheduling and computer/EMR experience is required.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with coordinating surgery schedule with patient, physician and operating room (main campus/BOSC/RSH) and communicate it with other staff, practice manager, and provider.
  • Qualifications Previous surgery scheduling and computer/EMR experience is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with websites for insurance verification/eligibility preferred.

Compensation

  • Max USD $27.13/Hr.
