About the role
- Acts as a liaison between patient and provider.
- Utilize EMR system for all scheduling, tracking, and notes documentation and obtain a SME (subject matter expert) status.
- Verifies patient eligibility and coverage for procedure; discusses potential financial obligations with patient.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates efficient workflow, supports appropriate use of technology, highly supportive of all staff roles as needed, and fosters effective communication.
- Provides support to provider and colleagues as needed.
- Obtains precertification or proper insurance approval prior to surgical procedures and appropriately documents the information.
Requirements
- Previous surgery scheduling and computer/EMR experience is required.
- Demonstrates proficiency with coordinating surgery schedule with patient, physician and operating room (main campus/BOSC/RSH) and communicate it with other staff, practice manager, and provider.

- Knowledge and experience with websites for insurance verification/eligibility preferred.
Compensation
- Max USD $27.13/Hr.
