Responsibilities

  • build simple test setups and report data to inform hardware choices.
  • Use Altium for schematic capture, small design changes, simple board spins (breakouts/adapters), and layout review.
  • document bring-up steps, test results, and known issues.
  • Scout, buy, and stand up EVKs/dev kits; build simple test setups and report data to inform hardware choices.
  • Plan and run lab tests with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, supplies, and loads; document bring-up steps, test results, and known issues.
  • Own the design of new electronic hardware for autonomous automotive platforms end-to-end-from concept and architecture through schematic, layout, fabrication, and release to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years relevant experience (including projects/internships).
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer (schematic, basic layout or review, and outputs: BOM, Gerbers, assembly files).
  • Working knowledge of common peripherals and components: microcontrollers/SoCs, power regulators, basic analog, level shifting.
  • Practical experience with UART, SPI, I²C, and at least one of USB or CAN.

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating sensors and compute for robotics or autonomy (e.g., cameras, radar, lidar, IMUs, GNSS).
  • Basic embedded firmware skills (C/C++) for board bring-up and hardware testing
  • A human reviews all AI output and makes a final hiring decision.
