About Purple Carrot Founded in 2014, Purple Carrot delivers clean, long-lasting energy through the power of plants.
As the Analytics Engineer, you will be focused on maintaining and improving our data pipelines, supporting data systems and analytics, and helping develop rigorous data products within our modern data stack.
On the Plate Lead and contribute to the implementation and maintenance of end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure, from ingestion through transformation and analytics.
Develop, test, and optimize data models and data warehouse architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement and uphold data governance standards, including data dictionaries, lineage, access controls, and clear ownership of business logic.
Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools that help teams understand performance and make data-informed decisions.
Support occasional ad hoc and exploratory data analysis to help answer business questions and identify trends.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, reporting logic, and key data definitions.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Analytics Engineer and cross-functional partners to execute on defined workstreams within an established data framework.
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data stack technologies such as Git, dbt, Stitch, cloud data warehouses, or similar tools.

Main Ingredients for the Role 2-3 years of experience in the data space as a senior data analyst, data analyst, analytics engineer, data engineer, or equivalent role.
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in SQL and dbt for data transformation, automation, and modeling.
Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Looker, Omni, or similar platforms.
