About the role
- You will gain broad exposure to Generate's business by partnering with teams across underwriting, asset management, capital markets, and accounting.
- Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- In this role you will support the full cycle of financial planning and reporting - building models, preparing variance analyses, and helping produce the materials that inform decisions across the firm.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with a broad base of stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for planning and reporting issues
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience in finance, accounting, or a similar analytical role
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with rolling forecasts and drivers-based variance analysis
- Ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- Experience with AI or other automation tools

- A demonstrated passion for, or commitment to, our mission
- Familiarity with basic accounting concepts (e.g., ability to read and build a 3-statement financial model)
- High level of proficiency in Excel; comfort building and maintaining financial models
- Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills
- High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
- Intellectual agility, curiosity, and creativity; problem-solving is your default mode
Nice to have
- Familiarity with major corporate ERP or EPM systems (Adaptive Insights and Microsoft Business Central a big plus)
Skills
- Ensure models comply with our reporting framework and modelling standard
- Ensure FP&A reporting is consistent with accounting; resolve discrepancies (aligning chart of accounts, entities, and data)
- Work cross-functionally with legal, asset management, capital markets, and underwriting to improve forecasts
- Provide clear and concise variance explanations
- Assist in the preparation of materials for monthly management reports and quarterly board meetings (financial data and other KPIs)
Compensation
