About the role

  • This position will be responsible for overseeing the organization's administration, programs, strategic initiatives, financial management, fundraising, marketing, technology integration, and community engagement.
  • This position reports directly to and works closely with the President while also collaborating with the Board Chair and Board of Directors.
  • This is a New York-based position with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement long-term strategic plans and organizational goals.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador and spokesperson for the organization within the community and with external partners.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to support effective governance and informed decision-making.
  • Support Board and committee meetings, including agenda development and implementation of Board directives.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant development, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities to support organizational growth and impact.
  • Recruit, supervise, develop, and retain a high-performing and mission-driven staff.
  • Establish and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and operational best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, community leaders, partner organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of senior leadership or nonprofit management experience.
  • Proven success in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and operational management.
  • Strong fundraising and donor engagement experience with a track record of developing sustainable revenue streams.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with a Board of Directors.
  • Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
