About the role
- The Parts Manager (L5) is responsible for leading the complete parts and warehouse operation for our Wastebuilt Phoenix, AZ location.
- This role has full ownership of financial performance, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, safety, and team development.
- The Parts Manager ensures reliable, efficient fulfillment while driving continuous improvement, cost discipline, and a high‑performance culture aligned with Wastebuilt's operational and customer standards.
Responsibilities
- Own full P&L accountability for the parts operation, including revenue, margin, expenses, and working capital.
- Lead all aspects of customer support, including order fulfillment, responsiveness, issue resolution, and escalations.
- Own the inventory strategy, including stocking levels, replenishment, and reduction of slow‑moving or obsolete inventory.
- Maintain facility standards, layout, and workflow to support safety, productivity, and scalability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit‑ready facility.
- Hire, train, develop, and retain a high‑performing parts team.
- Conduct performance reviews and manage corrective action when necessary.
- Standardize processes and lead improvement initiatives across service, efficiency, accuracy, and cost performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in parts, warehouse, or operations roles.
- 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
- Deep knowledge of inventory management, cycle counting, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Experience using ERP and inventory management systems.
- Experience leading operations in a service‑driven or multi‑functional environment.
- Required
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership and expense control.
- Proven ability to manage customer escalations and deliver service excellence.
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.
- Preferred
- Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence background.
