About the role

  • This summer seasonal position is responsible for prevention of injuries and drowning by enforcing pool rules.
  • Emergency Action Plan, not limited to, but including:
  • responding to swimmer/wader water-related emergencies, responding to sudden illness, providing first aid, teaching swimming lessons, conducting water tests, cleaning the facility and equipment, and provides excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Starting hourly rate for Lifeguard is $13.00 year one, $13.25 year two, and $13.50 year three.
  • Must hold a current lifeguard certification in accordance with approved certifying agencies as listed in the WI Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. (ATCP) Chapter 76.
  • Must comply with age limits designated in ATCP Chapter 76.
  • Must successfully complete the department's pre-employment lifeguard skills test.

Compensation

  • Starting hourly rate for Lifeguard is $13.00 year one, $13.25 year two, and $13.50 year three. This is a seasonal position and there are no benefits.
