About the role

  • You will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and participate in everyday activities while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support based on each individual's service plan.
  • Support individuals with community integration, recreational activities, employment, and appointments.
  • As a Direct Services Provider (DSP), you will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to pass a federal and state criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility when needed.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred:
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Medication Administration Certification.
  • Previous experience as a DSP, CNA, PCA, caregiver, behavioral health technician, or in a related field.
