Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to university departments regarding access control, alarm systems, security cameras, and related physical security technologies.
  • Conduct investigative support by reviewing recorded video, researching system activity, and documenting findings for law enforcement and university personnel.
  • Accurately enter, update, retrieve, and maintain confidential information in CAD, criminal justice, security, and other computerized records management systems.

Requirements

  • Maintain detailed documentation, process reports, make required notifications, and ensure compliance with department policies, Utah POST standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training, maintain required certifications, and perform other assigned duties in support of the University's public safety mission.

  • Ability to successfully pass a background investigation, pre-employment screening, and meet all hiring requirements, including no felony convictions.
  • Demonstrate ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically, multitask, prioritize work, and make sound decisions during emergency and routine situations.
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operational needs require.
  • Proficiency or the ability to become proficient with CAD, security camera systems, access control systems, life-safety monitoring software, radio consoles, Microsoft Office, and other public safety technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

Compensation

  • $52,500.00 to $68,000.00 annually
