About the role

  • To learn more about fairlife and its complete line of products, please visit fairlife.com. job purpose: The Senior Mechanical Engineer continuously evaluates the plant machines for reliability and effectiveness.
  • In fulfilling this role, the Senior Mechanical Engineer works closely with engineering team department members, maintenance, and operations.
  • The Senior Mechanical Engineer works with maintenance planning and operations to plan and schedule all preventative and predictive maintenance for machines as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design of experiments (DOE) to redesign systems creating chronic issues and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Maintain and update all documentation for machine centers, as needed (Schematics, manuals, PI&D).
  • Drive process improvements and present to the Engineering Department.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by teaching technicians with how to perform technician PM's
  • Drive improvements through the CI processes and playbook that Goodyear has established.
  • Closely collaborate with the manufacturing and engineering team to clearly define engineering acceptance standards and specifications based on the voice of the customer.
  • Validate and characterize new processes, equipment and fixtures for production implementation focused on damage-free.
  • Create detailed manufacturing instructions to document engineering critical characteristics.
  • Collaborate with the Quality, Manufacturing and Maintenance Managers to reduce and eliminate downtime contained on the single agenda.
  • Perform BDA and RCA's for issues that arise from the production floor.

Requirements

  • Create work orders and PM's through D365 and add all parts required for the scope of work to be performed.
