About the role

MSS provides all training for a commercial driving license as applicable.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
Must relate well with people with disabilities and with individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Implement individualized program plan for persons in assigned group. Assist persons served with their personal needs as necessary, including using the bathroom, eating, putting on coats, etc.
Assist program participants with developing and using a functional communication system to communicate needs and interact with others. Utilize technology and adaptive equipment to increase each person's independent functioning.
Pass medications and drive people to and from the center and community sites.

Must accurately record behavior of persons served and complete required forms.
Must be qualified for employment in a Day Services Facility as determined by the MN DHS.
Must pass other background checks as required by MSS. and/or state and federal law.
Must be able to lift and transfer adults with physical disabilities, using mechanical lifts and other methods identified as appropriate for a participant.
Must have/maintain a valid driver's license and must have/secure a Passenger Assistance Certificate within 6 months of hire.
Must have a clean driving record and be insurable under the conditions set by our insurance carrier.
