About the role

This full-time position is based on-site in New York City and reports to The Transmitter's Director of Engagement and Marketing.
Format, post and update articles, images, podcasts, videos and other digital content on TheTransmitter.org.
Publish The Transmitter newsletters, writing and/or reviewing copy and optimizing templates when needed.

Work closely with the marketing team to optimize site and newsletter performance including looking at engagement metrics, A/B testing, and search/generative engine optimization.
Manage the presentation of The Transmitter's pages.
Work with web developers to create, maintain and improve website features.
Help create, coordinate and manage web publication schedules with the editorial team
The Transmitter seeks a versatile Web Producer to manage article packages for online publication, update its award-winning website and coordinate email production.

At least 2 years ' experience as a web producer at a news publication.
Familiarity with journalistic standards and ethics.
Experience researching, sourcing and editing digital images, videos, audio files and other media types for use on the site and the various marketing channels
Proficiency with Wordpress, Google Analytics and SEO.
Must be exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, and demonstrate proficiency in the highest standards of web production, visual media and written English.
Must be comfortable producing feature-length articles and large multimedia packages under web deadlines and fluent in current online conventions.
Must be forward-thinking and knowledgeable about the latest trends in web design, email best practices, and production.
Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Experience in newsroom environments and familiarity with journalistic standards and ethics are a plus.

The full-time annual compensation range is $80,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
