About the role
- The Quality Control Technician provides technical support to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards are consistently met.
- This role performs chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, analyzes results, and recommends adjustments as needed.
- The position also supports continuous improvement efforts and actively participates in Quality, Health, and Safety programs, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and maintain safe work practices in accordance with company standards
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions related to batch production
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment
- Perform internal and finished goods audits; support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance efforts
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams on product or process improvements and non-conformance issues
- Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels
Requirements
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and calibration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP or similar ERP tools
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and analytical chemistry techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of quality control or laboratory experience preferred
