About the role

  • Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Team, contributing to the development of scalable, secure, and resilient systems that support core platform services and infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in platform engineering and cloud-native architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend services and APIs to support platform operations, including release engineering, DevOps pipelines, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with QA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment and performance of platform tools.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure SLA adherence and rapid incident response.

Requirements

  • Languages: Proficiency in C#.
  • Architecture: Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2, and microservices architecture.
  • Containers & Observability: Knowledge of container orchestration, release automation, and platform observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus).
  • Proficiency in C#.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.

Compensation

  • The targeted base salary for this position is $121,400 to $173,300 per year.
  • The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
