About the role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team, supporting the development and deployment of our next-generation AI-powered cloud-based products.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain an automation roadmap aligned with team goals and product evolution Act as a subject matter expert in test strategy and tooling within your domain Design and manage automated testing suites, including CI/CD pipeline development Validate deployments across multiple cloud environments Work closely with development to improve the quality of the product

Requirements

  • Experience in Software Development in Test with a strong focus on cloud automation
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java)
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, SDKs, and system integration testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments

Nice to have

  • AWS: S3, DynamoDB, OpenSearch
  • Nice to Have Skills

Skills

  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, DataDog, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with BDD
  • Exposure to security testing, performance testing, and regression strategies
  • Docker container

Compensation

  • At Magnet Forensics, we are committed to fair and consistent pay practices for our student roles.
  • Hourly pay is determined using standardized, non-negotiable salary bands based on academic progression and the number of official completed work terms recognized by your academic institution.
  • $22.01 - $33.81 CAD per hour
  • Salary Range (min-max)
