- Qualifications · Skill in the area of chosen support for the person served, i.e. if the person needs assistance with cooking the staff should know how to cook. · Preferred experience working with people with disabilities, children, or elderly persons. · A High School Diploma or GED is required. · A criminal background check must be completed and meet state regulations. · A copy of driver's license and car insurance is required (only in special circumstance will a person not be required to have these documents). · Three positive references; at least two from previous employers. · Good written and verbal communication skills.
