  • Job Description The Department First Year Experience (FYE) is looking for student-centered, customer friendly, part-time employees who are interested in becoming knowledgeable paraprofessionals as CSN Coyote Concierges.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a referral source throughout the academic year to support all students and student services areas at all three campuses.
  • May provide online student support through email outreach projects and responding to general academic and resource questions.
  • Administrative duties associated with the position include, but are not limited to, regular reporting of students first station data, upkeep of Students First Computer Stations, Coyote Q kiosk stations, and Orientation support.
  • Provide support to FYE Peer Leaders as they assist students at Students First Stations and FYE First Semester Enrollment Events
  • Provide new student navigation support to students within the FYE Student Guide program
  • Coyote Concierges assist and support prospective, new, and continuing CSN students during the critical transition process of the college adjustment period.

Requirements

  • Must have an Associates degree completed or completing Associates Degree within the academic year hired.
  • Ability to demonstrate a focus and practice on putting "students first" that translates in all responsibilities as a Coyote Concierge.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor computer issues ( e.g. sign-in, log-on, computer access issues).
  • Ability to work 19.5 hours per week
  • Ability to network with students in person
