About the role

  • Paperless Parts is looking for a motivated and curious Platform Engineer I to join our growing team.
  • You'll be an active member of the team taking our SaaS platform to manufacturing shops.
  • From day one, you'll contribute directly to our platform by taking ownership of well-defined tasks and projects, working alongside senior engineers who will review your work and guide your growth.

  • As a Platform Engineer I, you will help build and maintain a platform that is scalable, secure, and resilient.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts in Python or Bash to streamline routine operational tasks.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and deliver assigned sprint work, with code reviewed and supported by senior engineers

Requirements

  • Modern Technology: Gain hands-on experience with modern web application stacks, cloud technologies like AWS, and observability and CI/CD tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Responsible for adherence to all security and privacy requirements, rules and regulations and implement as required.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of a programming or scripting language, with Python as a plus.

Skills

  • Enhance our CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools like Jenkins
  • Work with containerization technologies and concepts using Docker
  • 0-1 years of professional experience in software, platform, or DevOps engineering; internship or co-op experience counts.
  • Basic understanding of and comfort with Linux/Unix command-line tools.

Compensation

  • $124,000 - $168,000
  • The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
  • We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
  • An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
