About the role
- We connect smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation in accordance with GAAP
- Partner with FP&A, People, Legal, Procurement, and other teams to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely
- Help maintain and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation
- Support implementation and improvement of finance systems and workflows as Skylo scales
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- You will work closely with the broader Finance team and cross-functional partners to ensure our financial records are accurate, timely, and scalable as the business continues to grow.
- This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the details while also looking for ways to improve processes and build stronger accounting infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
Nice to have
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification
- Experience at a high-growth technology company
- Experience with SaaS, telecommunications, hardware, or other technology businesses
- Experience with ERP and financial systems such as NetSuite
- Experience supporting audits and implementing accounting controls
- Experience working with international entities or global accounting operations

Compensation
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and other compliance requirements by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $117,000.
