About the role
- This is a rare opportunity to take on a key role with an early stage start-up and engage in the exciting, and red-hot, electric mobility market.
- You demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit, steadfast customer focus, and collaborative mindset.
- During our incubation we executed 250+ customer interviews to understand their pain in moving to electric vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business/product requirements to define and design the platform architecture and systems integration.
- Design, plan, and manage all development operations related to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and process automation.
- Manage orchestration, configuration, and provisioning automation.
- Build automation tools and frameworks for on-demand deployment environments, application definition, and application monitoring.
- Lead recruitment and hiring efforts for technical team supporting platform development while maintaining a strong individual development contribution.
- Present architecture and design to internal/external stakeholders. Able to communicate complex technologies in a simple manner to all teams, including non-technical.
- Support prototype and proof-of-concept work without losing focus on the big picture architecture.
- Develop and maintain architecture and platform documentation.
- Full-stack development experience building scalable web applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate the design value and economic value of recommended architectures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a software architect.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and leading software developers with a strong professional network, recruiting capability, and ability to limit team turnover.
- Experience with test-driven development practices.
- Ability to work and adapt to aggressive and dynamic objectives.
- Strong focus on customer experience with discipline to secure on-time releases.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (Masters or PhD preferred but not required).
- Experience with GCP highly preferred.
