Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate new and updated embedded AMB control system software
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Support software quality assurance efforts and testing protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- The Software and Controls Engineering Graduate Intern is responsible for supporting design, development, validation, and support of active magnetic bearing (AMB) control system software and firmware.
- Familiarity with embedded software design patterns and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate root causes and implement effective countermeasures
Requirements
- Required: Pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly programming, with exposure to microcontrollers, microprocessors, and RTOS environments
- Experience with hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing techniques
- The ideal candidate would be currently enrolled in a graduate program pursuing a master's degree.
- Working knowledge of power management principles and cybersecurity fundamentals
