About the role

  • Our solutions are developed by small, focused agile teams of data scientist and developers.
  • You will be applying a wide variety of models to very large electronic communication archives in order to classify and understand communication content.
  • You'll have the opportunity to work in machine translation, transcription, natural language processing, LLMs (large language models), and/or generative AI.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design review, code review, sprint planning, and other Agile artifacts
  • Collaborate with Product Management on user story generation and refinement

Requirements

  • Experience working with very large data sets in an enterprise-wide application environment
  • Experience with Python and Bash
  • Experience mentoring junior and intermediate data scientists

Compensation

  • Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia's pay transparency laws.
  • Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.
  • The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values.
  • Employees also receive annual allotted vacation days, which increase based on tenure.
  • British Columbia - Base salary range
  • $120,000 - $130,000 CAD
