  • This role works autonomously on high-impact projects, translating customer and business needs into robust, manufacturable product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the selection, specification, validation, and lifecycle support of electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFD's) used in Water Supply and Water Disposal pump applications.
  • The Senior Engineer partners closely with product management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and testing teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products from concept through production and beyond.
  • This position is suited for an experienced engineer who is recognized as a subject matter expert, mentors' others, and drives technical excellence across multiple projects and product lines, and demonstrates the potential to grow into broader technical or organizational leadership roles within Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible product engineering experience.
  • Proven experience leading complex product development projects with minimal supervision, including coordinating the work of others and influencing outcomes across functions.
  • Strong understanding of product/system integration, manufacturing processes, and field applications.
  • Experience with structured new product development processes (e.g., stage-gate).
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more technical domains relevant to the product portfolio.
  • Demonstrated interest in technical leadership, mentoring, or broader organizational impact beyond individual contributor responsibilities.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or external development partners.
  • Prior involvement in patent or IP development.
  • Primarily an on-site office environment
  • Requires regular time in the engineering laboratory to monitor and evaluate test procedures
  • Requires time on the manufacturing floor to support pilot runs and other production changes
  • Requires hands-on physical activities related to product testing and production support; reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation

  • For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95500 - $177300 / year.
  • At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range.
  • Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location.
  • Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
  • This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
