About the role
- In this role, you'll work closely with the mechanical team to integrate
- You'll also troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during both development and deployment.
Responsibilities
- This role may require an extended assignment in the EU for onboarding and to support ongoing European operations.
- Electrical System Design & Development
- Design and develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and control architectures for robotic platforms.
- Develop electrical schematics, documentation, and support new product development from prototype through production.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and robotics engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Build, test, and validate electrical systems to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement improvements to increase system robustness.
- Product Improvement & Cross-Functional Support
- Drive improvements in electrical system performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
- Support BOM updates, engineering changes, and component selection with procurement and manufacturing teams.
Skills
- Select and integrate sensors, actuators, motor controllers, power distribution, and embedded electronics.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during development, manufacturing, and customer deployments.
- Assist deployment teams with system commissioning and occasional onsite troubleshooting at customer locations.
- Contribute to engineering documentation, standards, and best practices as the North American organization grows.
