About the role
- We're looking for a Foreman that will focus on Mechanical Piping by leading, directing, and working alongside the project labor crew while coordinating the execution and completion of mechanical piping and construction labor tasks.
- This role will focus heavily on process piping, stainless steel piping, ductile iron piping, carbon steel piping, PVC and HDPE piping, buried utility piping, and pumping and process equipment connections.
- Provide regular feedback through documented coaching sessions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the project labor team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Support crew members in understanding proper installation methods for process piping, stainless steel piping, ductile iron piping, carbon steel piping, PVC piping, HDPE piping, buried utility piping, and related mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and other trade partners to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient worksite.
- Support coordination of pumping and process equipment connections, including alignment with piping layouts, equipment pads, access requirements, and project sequencing.
- Support coordination between piping scopes and adjacent work, including civil, structural, concrete, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, equipment installation, and controls.
- Support safe execution of buried utility piping work, including awareness of excavation hazards, utility conflicts, trench protection, access, and housekeeping.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED
- Trade school certificate, apprenticeship training, or equivalent mechanical piping experience preferred.
- 5+ years of construction experience, with experience in process piping, mechanical piping, utility piping, or related field work preferred.
- Experience with stainless steel piping, ductile iron piping, carbon steel piping, PVC piping, HDPE piping, buried utility piping, and pumping or process equipment connections preferred.
- Experience supporting piping installation, testing, inspection preparation, punch list completion, and corrective work preferred.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, piping plans, isometrics, specifications, equipment layouts, and project schedules preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic project technology platforms.
- Ability to coordinate daily crew activities and communicate effectively with supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
