About the role

This screening includes the verification of proof of citizenship or permanent resident status, a criminal record and other security check.
Liaisons - Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. - Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Work environment is typically considered within a Smiths location during normal or extended business hours to include offices, manufacturing plants and repair facilities.

Must possess a bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering or related field.
3-5 years of experience in in Quality Engineering for an electronics company.
Experience with investigation performance in 8D methodologies ( Ishikawa, 5Whys ).
Experience with audits performance based on quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
The disclosure of controlled goods to unauthorized persons is a criminal offense under Canadian law, therefor, you will be required to strictly comply with all Canadian laws that apply to controlled goods.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.

Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge Domain preferred.
Experience with physical installation of ESD tools preferred.
Experience in training performance preferred.
Knowledge of utilization of measurement tools. ( Calipers, Micrometers, Microscopes ) preferred.
