About the role

  • This role reports to the OSPA Events Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily workflows of the events team, track deliverables, and troubleshoot operational hurdles.
  • Support the Director in drafting event budgets; and tracking real-time expenses to ensure the department stays on target.
  • Maintain all relevant documentation and historical record of DNC member focused events Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
  • The OSPA Events Manager will support the OSPA Events Director in the day-to-day operational execution of all events, in-person and virtual, for the general DNC membership, Standing Committees, and Caucuses and Councils.

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills and a demonstrated ability to produce high quality memorandums.
  • Ability to distill complex logistical plans into clear instructions for staff and volunteers.
  • Experience working within diverse coalitions and managing the needs of multiple internal stakeholders simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • 2-3 years of experience in event planning or logistical management (Campaign or political experience preferred).

Compensation

  • This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends and some travel during some parts of the year.
  • The starting salary for the position is $70,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
