About the role

  • The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with practical software development skills to solve complex real-world problems involving imagery, spatial data, and AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop production-quality software using C++ and/or Python.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, geospatial specialists, and product teams to develop scalable solutions.
  • Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical architecture discussions.
  • For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry or research experience.
  • Strong mathematical background with demonstrated ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts to engineering challenges.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and validating complex algorithms.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and AI agents used in coding workflows.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

  • Masters or Ph.D. in a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working with cloud-based processing environments.
  • Experience transitioning research concepts into production software systems.
  • The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.

Compensation

  • Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.
  • Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range.
  • The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate's experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.
  • The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $124,000.00 - $165,000.00 - $181,500.00 annually.
