Responsibilities
- Supports pharmacy business processes by assisting with data reporting, analysis, and data management activities
- Develops and maintains reports and analyses related to prescription drug utilization, operational performance, and financial outcomes
- Performs data validation, quality checks, and testing to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and reporting outputs
- Assists with data integration, conversion, and transmission activities to support business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Accounting, Information Management Systems or related field.
- Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operational, data, statistical, and/or financial reporting
- Minimum 2 years experience working with large data sets in a DBMS, such as SQL, SAS, Teradata, etc. (Computer programming experience can be used in lieu of DBMS experience.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to summarize findings clearly
- A pre-employment drug screen will be required and any offer is contingent upon satisfactory drug testing results.
Nice to have
- Experience creating queries, performing data manipulation, and executing ad hoc reporting
- Experience with Microsoft applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, SQL Server Management Studio),
- Experience using programming or scripting languages for data extraction and analysis
- Familiarity with insurance claims, provider charge practices, and billing methodologies
- Job duties are performed in a normal and clean office environment with normal noise levels.
- Work is predominately done while standing or sitting.
- The ability to comprehend, document, calculate, visualize, and analyze are required.
