About the role
- Assists lab management with the daily operations of the department.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of routine and complex procedures using established criteria to provide quality clinical information. Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity for test methods. (40%)
- Operates, calibrates, checks and maintains instrumentation. Troubleshoots problems with quality controls and test procedures and takes appropriate action to ensure quality clinical information. (20%)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in ASCP eligible program or successful completion of HEW exam.
- 3 to 5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
- It may not contain a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees to do this job.

- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Bachelor's degree in ASCP eligible program or successful completion of HEW exam. Meet ongoing education requirements for certification.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), OR Categorical or Specialty Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology within one year of hire. Incumbents employed as AHN Medical Technologists prior 6/1/2022 are exempt from this expectation.
